I love everyone at SingPoWriMo by Gan See Siong
weren’t we only just celebrating words?
cool nights at nine sharp waiting for the prompt
will we be sparring - metaphor as swords?
too many drafts are sighed at, scrapped, then stomped!
we lock ourselves away like school children
letting our thoughts fly in all directions
I let my muse take me for a chill run -
pure experiment, risk and confession
yet I love how letters line, one by one
flirting with form - would this be a duplex?
oh the state of happiness when it’s done -
I sing, I leap, then I say what’s next?
if one small heart emoji comes my way,
it holds me there - content enough to stay
